Affiliate Disclosure
Transparency matters. Here’s how this site earns money and how that affects what I recommend.
What are affiliate links?
Some of the links on this site — particularly on the Resources page — are affiliate links. That means if you click one and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission from the seller. This is a standard way that content creators fund their work online.
Does it cost you anything extra?
No. Clicking an affiliate link and buying through it costs you exactly the same as if you had navigated to the product on your own. The commission comes from the seller’s marketing budget, not from your wallet. You will never pay a higher price because you used a link on this site.
Which links are affiliate links?
Affiliate links appear primarily on the Recommended Resources page, where I share books, programs, apps, and tools that I believe can help with breakup recovery and emotional healing. Any link that earns a commission is marked with rel="sponsored" in the page source, and the resources page displays a disclosure banner at the top.
How I choose what to recommend
Every resource on this site is recommended because I genuinely believe it can help someone going through a breakup or working on their emotional growth. My recommendations are based on:
- Personal experience. I’ve read the books, tried the apps, and gone through the programs myself. If something didn’t resonate with me, it doesn’t make the list.
- Community feedback. I pay attention to what actually helps people in breakup recovery communities, not just what’s popular or well-marketed.
- Editorial independence. No one pays me to feature a product. I don’t accept sponsored placements. If a resource appears here, it’s because I chose to include it, not because someone asked me to.
The existence of an affiliate partnership does not influence whether I recommend something. Many of the resources I link to don’t have affiliate programs at all. The recommendation always comes first; the affiliate link is just a way to support the site if you decide to buy.
How your purchases support this site
Running Attachment Shift takes time and real costs — hosting, design, research, and the many hours of writing that go into each article, tool, and guide. The small commissions earned through affiliate links help offset those costs and keep the vast majority of content on this site completely free.
When you use an affiliate link, you’re directly supporting the creation of more free resources for people going through one of the hardest experiences of their lives. That genuinely means a lot.
Questions?
If you have any questions about a specific recommendation or want to know whether a particular link is an affiliate link, feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to be transparent about how this site operates.
Thank you for supporting Attachment Shift. Your trust means everything, and I take it seriously.
